Microbial digestion that converts toxic sewage sludge into agricultural-grade biosolids. 20x pollutant reduction in weeks.
The Challenge
Sewage sludge is one of the most dangerous and least addressed environmental hazards in the world.
Sewage sludge contains Polycyclic Aromatic Hydrocarbons (PAHs) — a class of toxic, carcinogenic compounds that accumulate in the environment and resist natural degradation. These pollutants contaminate soil, leach into groundwater, and enter the food chain.
Currently, 89% of extracted sewage sludge worldwide is disposed of in open spaces and rivers, creating massive environmental and public health hazards. Traditional treatment methods are slow, expensive, and energy-intensive.
The result is a growing global crisis: millions of tons of toxic sludge accumulating faster than it can be safely processed.
Our Solution
ORP's sewage treatment formula harnesses the power of custom-cultured microorganisms to consume and convert toxic sludge into safe, usable biosolids.
Each formula contains up to 15 carefully selected microorganisms that target and consume the specific pollutants present in the sewage sludge. These organisms metabolize PAHs and other contaminants as food sources, breaking them down into harmless byproducts.
The result is a 20x reduction in pollutant levels — achieved in weeks, not months. The treated output is agricultural-grade biosolids that can be safely used as soil amendments, turning a toxic liability into a valuable resource.
From toxic waste to agricultural resource. The entire process is organic, chemical-free, and produces zero secondary pollutants.
The Process
Environmental Impact
The downstream effects of effective sewage sludge treatment extend far beyond the treatment site.
Biosolids output returns nutrients to soil instead of toxic compounds, supporting agricultural productivity.
Eliminating open dumping prevents sludge from contaminating rivers, lakes, and groundwater systems.
Biological treatment replaces energy-intensive incineration and mechanical processing methods.
Toxic waste is repurposed into a valuable agricultural resource, creating circular economy benefits.
